About Alamo Chapter

Together, we share information and network on a variety of building code issues promoting the safety of our built environment. The Chapter’s objective is to develop, recommend, and promote uniform regulations and legislation pertaining to building code construction, to encourage uniformity in zoning practice and code interpretation, and to promote the professionalism of the Code Official.

We fully support the activities of the International Code Council and our regional organizations including the San Antonio Building Code Academy (SABCA), Greater San Antonio Builders Association (GSABA), San Antonio’s Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the Building Officials Association of Texas (BOAT), the Texas Association of Permit Technicians (TAPT), the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG), and the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).

To enhance networking and training opportunities through the advancement of adopted construction codes, regulations, standards, products, and services for all concerned with safety and performance of the building community.
